How learning happens at Desert Flower, and the stage-by-stage journey from Early Years to Senior Secondary.
Desert Flower is built around one continuous idea of how a person grows: from a small child discovering the world through play, to a young person who can think for herself, stay rooted, and see how things connect. The idea does not change from stage to stage. Only its form does.
Under every subject, every project and every stage, the same four steps are at work. Encounter something real. Build or do something with it. Reflect honestly on what was learned. Connect it outward, to other subjects, to Ladakh, and to the child’s own life. Then the cycle starts again, deeper.
The Learning Journey, Stage by Stage
Open for 2026: Early Years / Kindergarten. Primary, Middle School and Secondary / Senior Years are part of Desert Flower’s stated direction and will open as the school grows. The same five commitments and the same four-part teacher role apply at every stage.
Early Years
Play is not preparation for learning. It is learning, in its most complete form.
Primary
Not yet open for 2026. Part of Desert Flower’s stated direction.
Middle School
Part of Desert Flower’s stated K-12 direction. Not yet open for admission.
Secondary / Senior Years
Where twelve years is heading. Structure and timeline will be published once confirmed.
