Not yet open for 2026, but part of Desert Flower's plan: the same cycle, growing deeper, with longer projects and more of the reflection done in the child's own words.
When Primary opens, children will move through the same Encounter, Build or Do, Reflect, Connect cycle as the rest of the school, with longer projects, deeper questions, and more of the reflecting and connecting done in the child’s own words.
Subjects will stay rooted in Ladakh. Mathematics through local measurement and pattern, science through the ecology around us, social studies through oral history and village life. Then they reach outward to the wider world. Assessment is planned to move from portfolios and observation towards narrative reports, self-assessment and, where it fits, the child’s own voice in her Parent-Teacher Conference.
