Desert Flower’s classrooms are designed to open outward. Mountains, rivers, monasteries, workshops, villages, kitchens, laboratories and quiet outdoor spaces are all places where learning happens, not just places a class visits now and then.

Wherever Desert Flower grows next, a new building or a new site, the same question applies. Does this place work as a living classroom, or has it become a box for instruction?
