A visit is often the best way to tell whether Desert Flower is right for your family. Desert Flower does not yet run its own admissions visits, but the campus it sits on, the Himalayan Institute of Alternatives (HIAL) in Ladakh, offers a guided campus tour that families are welcome to book.
HIAL Campus Tour: this is run by HIAL. It is not a Desert Flower admissions requirement or a Desert Flower fee.
- A guided tour of about 30 to 50 minutes, led by HIAL staff.
- Appointment required. No walk-in visits, and sending the form does not guarantee a booking.
- Subject to staff availability and set visiting days and hours.
- Tour fee: ₹500 per person for 1 visitor, ₹250 per person for 2 to 5 visitors, ₹200 per person for more than 5 visitors.
